Run a prover
You are the prover
There is no Provera proving network to join or rely on. Each project generates its own proofs on its own hardware, which is also what keeps its data private.
What you need
- Operating system
- x86-64 Linux
On Windows, use WSL2. macOS on Apple silicon can prove but cannot produce the Groth16 wrap locally.
- For STARK proving
- Any modern CPU. An NVIDIA GPU with CUDA makes it roughly 30 times faster.
- For the Groth16 wrap
- Docker, and about 2 GB of free memory
Only needed to register a proof on Solana.
- For on-chain registration
- A Solana wallet with a little SOL for the fee and the receipt’s rent
Measured on one machine
An 8-core desktop CPU with one RTX 4070 SUPER, proving a 1,000-wallet distribution. Single runs, not benchmarks.
- zkVM execution
- 3.5 million cycles in 4 segments
- STARK proof, GPU
- 16 to 26 seconds
- STARK proof, CPU only
- about 12 minutes
- Groth16 wrap, CPU
- about 62 seconds
- STARK receipt size
- 224 kB (stays off-chain)
- On-chain verification
- 128,555 compute units, 930-byte transaction
- Cost per receipt
- 5,000 lamport fee plus about 0.0028 SOL of rent
At current rent rates; the rent is locked in the receipt account, not burned.

Provera does not run provers for others, and the software has no staking or reward mechanism today. A marketplace of independent provers is a possible future direction, not something this software does today.
